Clara Tott, in other sources Clara Dett, Clara of Dettingen, Tettingen, or Clare Dettin ( c. 1440 – 1520), was a court singer associated with the Elector Palatine Frederick I, whom she is said to have secretly married.

Clara Tott, die Tochter des Augsburger Ratsdieners Gerhard Tott, war Hofdame bei Herzogin Anna (1420–1474), der Ehefrau Herzog Albrechts III. von Bayern-München. Hier wirkte sie u. a. als Sängerin und begann 1459 eine Liebesbeziehung mit Kurfürst Friedrich I. von der Pfalz.
Nel 1471 (o nel 1472), Federico sposò Clara Tott, sua amante da lungo tempo. Ella era una donna comune e come tale il matrimonio venne considerato morganatico. Da questo matrimonio nacque un figlio:

In 1471/1472, Frederick married his long-time mistress Clara Tott. She was a commoner and this was considered a morganatic marriage. They had two children: Friedrich von Wittelsbach (1461–1474). Louis I, Count of Löwenstein (29 September 1463 – 28 March 1523). Married first Elisabeth von Montfort and secondly Sophia Böcklin.

Life. Louis was a son of the Elector Palatine Frederick I (1425–1476) from his morganatic marriage with Clara Tott. She had been a lady-in-waiting at the court of the Duke of Bavaria in Münich where Frederick met her in 1459. They had two sons, Louis and his elder brother Frederick (1461–1474).
