Aesthetically resembling a low budget crime film from the early nineties (simple establishing wide to two shot cinematography lit poorly), Coastlines is ten years out of date. Victor Nunez, the film's director and writer, favors a cliched adultery subplot rather than accepting the film's genre credentials as a southern revenge, B-movie, like Walking Tall.
Coastlines features solid lead performances, but is hindered by an unconvincing love triangle and scattered direction. Not up to the standard of Victor Nunez's previous directorial efforts. Sonny ...

Namiesto toho sa film viac venuje milostnému trojuholníku, ktorý je úplne zbytočný. Nakoniec po dlhých nudných minútach, keď sa nič poriadne nedialo, dôjde aj na pomstu, ale je to rýchlovka. Bum prásk a je vybavené. Výsledkom je skvele obsadený film, v ktorom sa nič poriadne nedeje a herci nemajú čo hrať. 4/10. (24.04.2023)
