We look forward to meeting you. Richard Russell was appointed Headmaster of Colfe’s School in September 2005. He began his teaching career at Sevenoaks School in 1983 as a Classics teacher. As International Baccalaureate Co-ordinator and Director of Studies, he managed and oversaw the expansion and development of the IB programme at Sevenoaks.

A number of pupils enter Colfe’s in Year 7 (age 11) each year from a wide selection of local primary schools and independent schools – approximately two thirds of the total year group. In addition, pupils from Colfe’s Junior School move up into Year 7 – the remaining third.
Junior 7-11. Articulate, enthusiastic, moral, confident: that is how we like to see our pupils as they leave us for the Senior School. We focus on three aspects of every child – talent, potential and character. We develop children to the full through the powerful Colfe’s blend of a strong curriculum and expert, specialist teaching.
Junior 3-6. We know every child is unique, and we want all of them to develop their abilities and character to the full. Their confidence, knowledge and skills will grow; they will become aware of spiritual and moral values; and they will engage in the whole range of cultural, sporting and extra-curricular activities that we provide.
