The Common Ground is an album by American jazz flautist Herbie Mann recorded in 1960 for the Atlantic label. [1] Reception. Allmusic awarded the album 3½ stars stating "Most of the instrumental dexterity on the album is supplied by Mann's flute, which perfectly matches the mood of material.
Raymundo "Ray" Barretto Pagán (April 29, 1929 – February 17, 2006) was an American percussionist and bandleader of Puerto Rican descent. [2] Throughout his career as a percussionist, he played a wide variety of Latin music styles, as well as Latin jazz.
