The Stern Conservatory ( Stern'sches Konservatorium) was a private music school in Berlin with many distinguished tutors and alumni. The school is now part of Berlin University of the Arts . History. It was founded in 1850 as the Berliner Musikschule by Julius Stern, Theodor Kullak and Adolf Bernhard Marx.
16 mar 2024 · Arnold Schönberg nacque a Vienna nel 1874, ebbe una formazione musicale irregolare e sostanzialmente da autodidatta, anche se ricevette lezioni da A. von Zemlinsky. Dal 1901 al 1903 fu a Berlino, dove collaborò al cabaret di E. von Wolzogen e insegnò composizione al Conservatorio Stern.
Di importanza ancora maggiore per lo sviluppo della musica fu il Conservatorio Stern, fondato congiuntamente nel 1850 da Stern, Theodor Kullak e Adolf Bernhard Marx. Per le dimissioni di Kullak nel 1855 e di Marx nel 1857, Stern divenne proprietario unico dell'istituzione, che gestì fino alla sua morte.
The Julius Stern Institute, part of the Faculty of Music at the Berlin University of the Arts, is the oldest, largest and most renowned institution for the promotion of young musicians in Europe. In 2020, the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Stern Conservatory and the 200th birthday of Julius Stern were to be celebrated.
