11 apr 2018 · Dan the Automator is largely credited as the source of the psych-infused hip-hop production style, built on a basis of musical eclecticism, that drives a lot of contemporary beat-making. His knowledge and risk-taking has led to the creation of such influential collaborations as the Deltron 3030 project alongside Del and Kid Koala.
Lovage was a collaborative project headed by Dan the Automator, under his pseudonym "Nathaniel Merriweather". Their only album is titled Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By, which was created in team with Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles, who both provide vocals. Kid Koala plays turntables and samples and toured with the band for their 13-city U.S. tour.
