DeShawn Anthony Shead [1] (born June 28, 1989) [2] is a former American football cornerback and coach who is the assistant defensive backs coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and became a member of the Legion of Boom.

DeShawn Shead (pronounced SHED) joined the Miami Dolphins as assistant defensive backs coach in 2024. The 2024 season marks Shead's 12th year of NFL experience including eight as a player and four as a coach, working primarily with the defensive backs. Shead won Super Bowl XLVIII as a player with Seattle in 2013.
