Storia degli Ween. I membri principali sono Aaron Freeman e Mickey Melchiondo, noti anche con lo pseudonimo di Gene e Dean Ween. Freeman e Melchiondo si incontrarono per la prima volta nel 1984 a New Hope, dove formarono subito il gruppo.
Dopo un tour dei soli Gene e Dean (più il fido Digital Audio Tape) in supporto ai Foo Fighters, il 1996 dei Ween di chiude con una serie di show assieme ai Shit Creek Boys. Nell’aprile seguente il bassista Dave Dreiwitz e il tastierista Glenn McClelland entrano in pianta stabile nel gruppo, ora un quintetto, la cui line-up non cambierà più.
