He’s lost his welfare, can’t hold a job, can’t talk to his son, has a neighbour who won’t shut up and a diet that consists mainly of cheap beer and mushy peas. It’s no way to live and he knows it.

He sees youtube video showing prisons in Denmark and realises that prison life there is better than the life he actually has, and decides to try and get himself arrested in Denmark. His friends are stuck in the same boat as him in life, none having any real hope, and none providing him any alternatives to his crazy plan.
2 nov 2022 · Armed with a fake gun, and having hitched a lift with a lorry driver, he arrives in Denmark, where, director Adrian Shergold clearly wants us to know, everything is just a bit better than it is in the UK – even the public toilets work.

20 lug 2020 · They’re practically living in hotels. He says goodbye (and good riddance) to his dingy flat and smuggles himself to Denmark aboard a cargo ship, landing in a quaint town with everything he needs -- including a bank to rob.
Denmark is a 2010 short film co-written and directed by Daniel Fickle and scored by Gideon Freudmann of The Portland Cello Project. Utilizing puppetry and hand-built sets the film tells a story about Pily, a crustacean of mixed origin, who builds a rocket ship to escape his underwater home when it becomes threatened by pollution.
