Biografia. Recitò in diverse serie televisive, ma il ruolo che gli diede più notorietà fu quello dello zio Jesse Duke nella serie statunitense Hazzard. In Italia è apparso anche fra i protagonisti del telefilm Grizzly Adams, dove, oltre al co-protagonista Jack il Matto interpretava anche il ruolo di voce narrante.
