A year earlier Rob is a determined, focused young man on his way to war. Kim, an idealistic young woman with her dreams untarnished, hopes that if she waits Rob will one day return to her.
TV biopic of U.S. serviceman Eddie Slovik, including his military trial. He was the only American executed for desertion during WW2. Note that other deserters were dishonorably discharged; and then there were others that were executed for other crimes besides desertion; film gives the impression that he was the only one executed during WW2.
