Donovan Philips Leitch (Glasgow, 10 mei 1946), beter bekend onder de naam Donovan, is een Schotse singer-songwriter die populair werd in de jaren zestig. In die tijd werd hij met zijn aan folk verwante popliedjes beschouwd als "het Britse antwoord op Bob Dylan ", maar zijn liedjes waren veel optimistischer en naïever, waardoor Donovan aansluiting vond bij de hippiebeweging uit die tijd.
Donovan 〔全名Donovan Leitch〕1946年5月10日生于苏格兰的Glasgow。 念了一年的专科就辍学四处流浪于 英伦 ，为讨生活他曾做过餐服员、 搬运工 、矿工，也因为偷窃而吃过 两星期 的牢饭，不到20岁的Donovan很早就体尝到人间的百态及冷暖。
