Dorothy Squires (born Edna May Squires, 25 March 1915 – 14 April 1998) was a Welsh singer. Her early successes were achieved with " The Gypsy ", " A Tree in the Meadow " and " I'm Walking Behind You " by her partner Billy Reid , and " Say It with Flowers " written by Squires with piano accompaniment by Russ Conway .

On arriving, she bumped into one of the residents. The woman, recognising Dorothy, told her that if she was looking for Mr. Moore, he’d been taken to Woolwich War Memorial Hospital. Dorothy said that she didn’t know that her father-in-law was ill. The woman informed her that it wasn’t Roger’s father who was ill but Roger himself.
Dorothy Squires was a show business star blessed with vivacity and beauty. Furthermore, and like most really successful popular singers, she possessed genuine musical talent. She also had a large, loyal and well organised fan-base. In the period when she flourished she was one of the most charismatic and successful British performers.
