Downside School is a co-educational Catholic independent boarding and day school in the English public school tradition for pupils aged 11 to 18. It is located between Bath, Frome, Wells and Bruton, and is attached to Downside Abbey .

DOWNSIDE SCHOOL FEES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/25: One-off nights on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability, will be charged at £50 per night in the Junior School and £75 in the Senior School. EXEATS: The School remains open for international boarders over the Exeat weekends at a fee of £225 per child, per weekend.
We have a limited number of places available for pupils who wish to join us for the Summer Term, for one term only, as a taster to boarding school in the UK to help support the decision to join for a longer period. We accept pupils into all year groups apart from Year 13 for this experience.
