English. Drowner. Drowners, also known as muire d'yaeblen in Skellige or vodniks, inhabit both natural and artificial bodies of water, from rivers and lakes to mill ponds and city sewers. It is commonly thought that these creatures are drowned men, somehow arisen from the dead to prey on the living.

Drowners are an American-Welsh indie rock band formed in New York City in 2011 by Matthew Hitt ( lead vocals, guitar ), Jack Ridley III ( lead guitar ), Erik Lee Snyder (bass) and Daniel Jacobs ( drums ). [1] Their first release was the EP Between Us Girls which appeared in early 2013.
