21 apr 2020 · Biography. Dr. E. Gordon Gee served as president of The Ohio State University from 1990 to 1997 and again from 2007 to 2013. Prior to his service at Ohio State, he led Vanderbilt University (2001-2007), Brown University (1998-2000), the University of Colorado (1985-1990), and West Virginia University (1981-1985).
Gee was born in Bountiful, Utah, she is the daughter of Elizabeth (née Dutson) and E. Gordon Gee, an academic administrator. Gee is the parent of five children and mother of identical twins and lives in New Orleans. Gee attended Columbia College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in American History in 1997.

31 lug 2023 · The West Virginia University Board of Governors voted unanimously Monday (July 31) to extend President Gordon Gee’s contract one year through June 30, 2025. The decision came after Board members reviewed Gee’s performance — as mandated by state code — in areas such as student success, research, health and welfare, and the University's role in the state’s economic development.
