  4. Students applying for a bachelor of music degree will apply directly to the Eastman School of Music through their online application. Students applying for a dual degree (BM plus a BA or BS), will also need to submit an application to the College at the University of Rochester.

Dossenbach, Klingenberg, and Gareissen, the three directors of the institute) was soon after purchased by George Eastman, who donated it to the University.
