China Crisis are an English new wave and synth-pop band formed in Kirkby, near Liverpool, Merseyside in 1979 with a core of lead vocalist/keyboardist Gary Daly and guitarist/vocalist Eddie Lundon.

8 apr 2023 · Liverpool mates Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon, both born in 1962, formed what would become China Crisis in 1979. They added percussionist Dave Reilly to the line up in 1981 and singed to Inevitable Records. The trio released their debut single, “African And White” in October that year.
