3 giorni fa · The Bible says all these things. And yet we know from Job 1–2 that Eliphaz has completely missed the mark. We know that Job’s troubles did not come from any failure on Job’s part. We’re listening to a good man, Eliphaz, give good Christian explanations for Job’s suffering, and we know from Job 1–2 that he’s entirely wrong.
9 apr 2024 · Eliphaz does just that: his advice is based on the presumption that Job is not in agreement with God, which we know was not the case ( Job 42:7 ). Eliphaz had already accused Job of not fearing God, and now he goes on to say that peace and good would come to Job if he only agreed with God.
