Princess Anne of Denmark, born Anne Ferelith Fenella Bowes-Lyon (1917–80), was the mother of royal photographer Patrick Anson, 5th Earl of Lichfield, and a first cousin of Elizabeth II. Nerissa and Katherine Bowes-Lyon were the third and fifth daughters of John Herbert Bowes-Lyon, the Queen Mother's brother, and his wife, Fenella Bowes-Lyon.

Queen of George VI Born in the last year of Queen Victoria's reign. Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married the Duke of York in 1923. She became Queen Elizabeth when her husband was crowned King George VI in 1937. On the King's death in 1952 she became known as the Queen Mother and her elder daughter became Queen Elizabeth II. She was the first member of the British Royal Family to pass the age of 100.

Marriage. She married HRH Prince Albert, Duke of York (son of George V and Queen Mary), in Westminster Abbey on 26 April 1923.
