Elizabeth Stuart (19 August 1596 – 13 February 1662) was Electress of the Palatinate and briefly Queen of Bohemia as the wife of Frederick V of the Palatinate. The couple's selection for the crown by the nobles of Bohemia was part of the political and religious turmoil setting off the Thirty Years' War .
Elizabeth Stuart, British princess who was titular queen of Bohemia. The daughter of James VI of Scotland (later James I of Great Britain) and Anne of Denmark, she married Frederick V, the Elector Palatine, in 1613. Frederick was crowned king of Bohemia in 1619, but the royal couple was soon driven into exile.
