Eric II or Erich II (between 1418 and 1425 – 5 July 1474) was a member of the House of Pomerania (also known as the House of Griffins) and was the ruling Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast from 1457 to 1474. He was the son of Wartislaw IX of Pomerania-Wolgast and Sophia, daughter of Eric IV of Saxe-Lauenburg .

Biografia. Sofia era figlia di Eric II di Pomerania-Wolgast (morto nel 1474) e di sua moglie Sofia (morta nel 1497). Suo fratello era Boghislao X (1454-1523), che governò l'intera Pomerania per quasi cinquant'anni come un unico territorio.

Eric II di Pomerania-Wolgast, della casa dei Greifen , fu Duca di Pomerania-Wolgast dal 1457 al 1474; era figlio di Vartislao IX di Pomerania-Wolgast e di Sofia di Sassonia-Lauenburg, figlia a sua volta di Eric IV di Sassonia-Lauenburg; apparteneva al casato dei Greifen.

Francesco II si sposò due volte. Il 26 dicembre 1574 a Wolgast sposò Margherita di Pomerania-Wolgast (19 marzo 1553 – 7 agosto 1581, Ratzeburg ), figlia del duca Filippo I di Pomerania. Da questo matrimonio nacquero i seguenti figli: Maria (Ratzeburg, 18 febbraio 1576 - 13 marzo 1625, Schwarzenbek );
