Returning to television, Sykes and Jacques appeared in the 1967 special Sykes Versus ITV with Tommy Cooper and Ronnie Brody. In 1968, he had a supporting role in an Anglo-American film co-production, the Edward Dmytryk western Shalako , starring Sean Connery and Brigitte Bardot .

Film 20 of The December Project. In this 45-minute classic British slapstick short, Eric Sykes & Tommy Cooper play two joiners who unwittingly cause chaos when trying to transport a large plank back from the timber merchant's. Likeable; not laugh-out-loud as often as I'd hoped, though it picked up in the last 15 minutes.
