Dopo una discreta carriera da calciatore disputata interamente nei Paesi Bassi nel 2012 assume la guida del Go Ahead Eagles , ottenendo subito la promozione in Eredivisie .
Erik ten Hag (born 2 February 1970) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is the manager of Premier League club Manchester United. Ten Hag played as a centre-back and began his career with Eredivisie club Twente. He joined De Graafschap in 1990, and won the Eerste Divisie in his first season.

Erik ten Hag was confirmed as Manchester United manager in April 2022, replacing Ralf Rangnick after the at the conclusion of the 2021/22 Premier League season. Ten Hag had a 13-year playing career, including three spells with Twente, where he retired in 2002.

Chiuderà la stagione all’Ajax per poi strasferirsi in Inghilterra dove subentrerà a Ralf Rangnick, manager ad interim alla fine della stagione.
