Ernest Augustus (German: Ernst August; 20 November 1629 – 23 January 1698), Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, was Prince of Calenberg from 1679 until his death, and father of George I of Great Britain. He was appointed as the ninth prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire in 1692.
Ernesto Augusto di Brunswick-Lüneburg è stato un vescovo luterano tedesco, duca di Brunswick-Lüneburg. Governò sul principato di Calenberg alla suddivisione del ducato paterno. Venne nominato principe-elettore del Sacro Romano Impero nel 1692, ma morì prima che la sua nomina divenisse effettiva.

Ernest Augustus (Ernest Augustus Christian George, German: Ernst August Christian Georg); 17 November 1887 – 30 January 1953) was Duke of Brunswick from 2 November 1913 to 8 November 1918. He was a grandson of George V of Hanover, thus a Prince of Hanover and a Prince of the United Kingdom.

L'ultimo di questi Ernesto Augusto, Elettore di Brunswick-Lüneburg (1629-1698), fu il padre del futuro re d'Inghilterra Giorgio I. Partecipò con proprie truppe nell'ala protestante alla guerra dei trent'anni. Prese parte insieme all'esercito svedese alla Battaglia di Oldendorf del 1633.
Augusto di Brunswick-Lüneburg ( Celle, 18 novembre 1568 – Celle, 1º ottobre 1636) fu duca di Brunswick-Lüneburg, vescovo luterano di Ratzeburg dal 1610 al 1636 e Principe di Lüneburg dal 1633 al 1636 .
