  3. Nel 1594 Ernesto Federico di Baden-Durlach occupa il Baden-Baden, facendosene nominare amministratore; alla sua morte, nel 1604, gli succede il fratello Giorgio Federico, che nel 1621 rinuncia al governo del Baden-Baden, restituendolo al primogenito di Edoardo Fortunato, Guglielmo.
