School Fees & Extras. The school fee includes tuition, board, lodging, and the cost of most games activities and the majority of educational materials. In addition, boys incur variable extras, e.g. charges for music lessons, optional insurances, boat club membership and school trips.

Eton College was founded in 1440 by Henry VI as “Kynge’s College of Our Ladye of Eton besyde Windesore”. Henry wanted his subjects to have the opportunities of gaining knowledge that he had enjoyed, and he made provision for 70 poor boys, known as King’s Scholars, to be housed and educated at Eton free of charge.

Eton College has an exciting opportunity for six Graduate Teachers to join the College on a two-year fixed term contract starting in September 2025. We are recruiting in the following pool of departments: Classics, Computer Science, Design, Divinity, English, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Modern Languages & Cultures, and Science.
Entry for both of these routes opens in the summer before a boy starts UK School Year 11, with applications from mid-July. The application deadline is usually in mid-September when a boy is in UK School Year 11. Please see the application form for each year’s specific dates.
