Ewa Maria Demarczyk (16 January 1941 – 14 August 2020) was a Polish singer, generally associated with the sung poetry genre and the Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret. Demarczyk was recognized as one of the most talented and charismatic singers in the history of Polish music.

Early life. She was born on 16th January 1941 in Kraków. She had a marked penchant for music from an early age, and was a likely candidate for a successful career playing the piano. But after she graduated from music school as a teenager, it turned out that the stage had much more to offer her than piano recitals.
Ewa Demarczyk is an artist of great and unique talent. Slim, with dark hair, wrapped in shadow and multicolour spotlights, she sings – and her singing is piercing and extraordinary.
