Fāṭima bint Muhammad, detta anche Fāṭima al-Zahrāʾ (in arabo فاطمة الزهراء ?, Fāṭima la Luminosa) e meglio nota come Fatima (La Mecca, 605 – Medina, 633), fu la quarta e ultima figlia del profeta dell'Islam Maometto e di sua moglie Khadīja bint Khuwaylid.

Fatima bint Mohammad (R.A.), famously known as Fatima Az Zahra (R.A.), was the fourth and most favorite daughter of the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.). Fatima Az Zahra (R.A.) was born in Makkah, five-years before the Prophet-hood of Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) (approx. 615 CE).
La tradizione più accreditata afferma che Fatima nacque nel 605, ultima di quattro figlie femmine di Muhammad e Khadija (tutti i figli maschi del Profeta morirono in tenera età).
