In August 2023, Professor Jiao joined the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis as the Elvera and William R. Stuckenberg Professor. He also serves as the director of the Center for Carbon Management.

I received a B.E. degree in Applied Chemistry from Shandong University of Science and Technology in 2021. In 2023, I joined the EECE department at Washington University in St. Louis for an M.S. degree. I joined the Jiao group in 2024 with an interest in electrochemistry.

Now, he and his colleagues have made a new discovery that could further advance carbon capture and utilization and extend its promise to new industries.
