Nobuo Uematsu (植松 伸夫?, Uematsu Nobuo; Kōchi, 21 marzo 1959) è un compositore e musicista giapponese di musica per videogiochi, noto per aver composto le colonne sonore di gran parte dei titoli della serie Final Fantasy. The soundtrack includes six tracks not included in the game used in promotional stages.
In 2005, Uematsu and several members of The Black Mages created the score for the CGI film Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Uematsu composed only the main theme for Final Fantasy XII (2006); he was originally offered the job of creating the full score, but Hitoshi Sakimoto was eventually assigned as the main composer instead.

Hitoshi Sakimoto was the lead composer of Final Fantasy XII. Hitoshi Sakimoto composed most of the game's soundtrack; Nobuo Uematsu, following his departure from Square Enix in 2004, only contributed the theme song, "Kiss Me Good-Bye", sung by Angela Aki. [1]
