It is the band's only record to feature their original drummer, Frank Bagnoud. The Young Gods met with a critical acclaim, with a particular interest from the British music press: it was named as the "Album of the Year" by Melody Maker .

22 mag 2012 · Their initial line up was Treichler (vocals), Frank Bagnoud (drums) and Cesare Pizzi, who operated the sampler that supplied the remainder of their sound. Released a quarter of a century ago, The Young Gods's eponymous debut album featured a cover in which the band were depicted as stick-men chalked onto a stone surface, like early cave paintings.
Formati in Svizzera da Franz Treichler, ispirato dal produttore Roli Mosimann (ex Swans), gli Young Gods erano un trio senza chitarra (Cesare Pizzi ai campionamenti e Frank Bagnoud alle percussioni).
