Frankie Howerd was one of the great survivors of British comedy. Despite two notable falls in popularity, he always bounced back to the top of the comedy pile. At the time of his death he was probably as popular as he had ever been, even enjoying cult status with younger audiences.

The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust was set up in 2008 to support good causes in memory of one of Britain’s greatest comedians. Our aim is to honour his life and work by helping deserving groups and individuals with special projects or simply to carry on their day-to-day activities and our main endeavour at the moment is the creation of a Community Hub.
