  6. 27 dic 2023 · Frederick Browning was born on December 20, 1896, and joined the officer training corps during his education at Eton. During World War I, he served with the Grenadier Guards. When parachute troops and airborne troops were formed during World War II, Browning was appointed as the commanding officer.

  7. Lieutenant-General Browning began his military career in the First World War, where he served with the Grenadier Guards and won the Distinguished Service Order and the Croix de Guerre. He also had the honour of meeting Winston Churchill, with whom he shared a dugout in 1916.
