5 giorni fa · Friedkin made the film as "a believer," someone who is not just open to, but enthralled with, the idea of mystery and the supernatural, things that defy our understanding and rationality (one of the first things we hear him say is, "Everything has to do with either the mystery of fate or faith, and The Exorcist is about the mystery of faith").

Elsewhere Friedkin had also made strides in queer cinema with The Boys in the Band , comedy with The Brink’s Job and thriller with the likes of Sorcerer , To Live and Die in L.A. and Cruising .
