FROM MOSCOW WITH LOVE. I was quite dismissive of both the Arutiunian and the Vainberg concertos in my review of a Chandos recording last year. Although Sergei Nakariakov plays the Arutiunian stunningly–as if he really believes in the music–it remains a work of only passing interest.
