4 giorni fa · Und das wäre auch sicherlich ganz im Sinne von Gebhard Leberecht Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt (1742 – 1819). Blücher, genannt „Marschall Vorwärts“, war einer der beeindrucktesten Heerführer der Befreiungskriege. Das Denkmal wurde vor mehr als einhundert Jahren auf dem Wilhelmplatz, dem heutigen Blücherplatz, eingeweiht.

Die Grabstätte des Siegers der Schlacht von Belle Alliance (Waterloo) wurde 1945 von marodierenden polnischen Banden geschändet und verwüstet, anschließend von allen nationalen Symbolen „befreit“ und zugemauert.
