Gerald William Abrams (born September 26, 1939) [1] is an American television producer who has produced many TV movies starting in the mid-1970s. [2] Early life. Gerald W. Abrams (sometimes credited as Gerry Abrams) is an American television producer and the father of J.J. Abrams. He runs his own company, Cypress Point Productions, since 1978. When his son directed Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, Gerald Abrams cameoed in the movie as General Cypress, a Resistance officer.
