Gertrud of Süpplingenburg (18 April 1115 – 18 April 1143) was the only child of Emperor Lothar III (Lothar of Süpplingenburg), Duke of Saxony, and his wife Richenza of Northeim. On May 29, 1127, she married the Welf Henry the Proud, who had been Duke of Bavaria since 1126.
Figlia (n. 1115 - m. Neuburg, Vienna, 1143) dell'imperatore Lotario di Suplimburgo e di Richenza di Nordheim, sposò (1127) il duca di Baviera Enrico il Superbo. Nel 1129 divenne madre di Enrico il Leone. Si sposò in seconde nozze (1142) con il duca d'Austria Enrico Jasomirgott.
The Süpplingenburg dynasty was only short-lived. By his wife, Richenza of Northeim , Lothair had only one surviving child, a daughter Gertrude , born 18 April 1115. To secure Welf support for his election as king, Lothair married Gertrude to Henry X, Duke of Bavaria , on 29 May 1127. [39]
