23 apr 2024 · Cliff Owen, a native Welsh speaker, was born on 17 October 1923 in the South Wales mining village of Glanaman, in the Amman Valley. He was the youngest of 4 children to Thomas John and Margaret Owen. Securing a Scholarship in 1936 kept Cliff in school and out of the mines.
