Goddard College is a private college with three locations in the United States: Plainfield, Vermont; Port Townsend, Washington; and Seattle, Washington. Overview. In 2002, Goddard College became an institution that offers only intensive-residency (or low-residency) academic programs. We pioneered this model more than 45 years ago, based on the principles of progressive education and the newly emerging understanding of the special needs and gifts of adult learners.
Goddard College will officially close at the end of this semester. New admissions will not be accepted for the 2024-2025 academic year. “We recognize the profound impact this will have on our students, our faculty and staff and progressive education,” said President Dan Hocoy.
Goddard College is a private institution that was founded in 1863. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 146 (fall 2022), and the campus size is 200 acres.
