[Gold is, in fact, NOT cheap so the condition is UNREAL] we use "if it was" for uncertain conditions. Example: If it (the shirt) was cheap, it was a good buy. [In this case, we don't know if the shirt was cheap.

28 mag 2011 · Efficient at finding gold (in is possible). Efficient in its use of fuel (Scotgrot's suggestion "efficient at using fuel" sounds good too). A good dictionary is probably your best aid in finding the prepositions most commonly used after particular words. Any dictionary that provides these words in context will be especially helpful.
