British sitcom in which an unhappily married man discovers he can time travel back to 1940s war-torn London where he masquerades as an MI5 agent and part-time songwriter whilst courting the local barmaid.
Gary Sparrow is an unhappily married TV repairman, who one day unwittingly walks into a time warp. Totally disorientated, he thinks he's in a 1940s theme pub, until he falls in love with the landlord's daughter. Gar refuses to buy a new suit for a job interview in 1993, but is happy to buy one to take Phoebe to a dance in 1940.
