Greg T. Walker (born 8 July 1951) is an American bassist who played with rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd between 1971 and 1972. His main band, named Blackfoot, existed between 1969 and 1985. In 2004 a new line-up was born, with Axe frontman Bobby Barth as their singer/guitarist.

The band's classic lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist Rickey Medlocke, guitarist Charlie Hargrett, bassist Greg T. Walker, and drummer Jackson Spires. They had a number of successful albums during the 1970s and early 1980s, including Strikes (1979), Tomcattin' (1980) and Marauder (1981).

In a tiny, sweltering, fourth-floor apartment in Manhattan, just around the corner from the Fillmore East, a teenage rock band from Florida, armed to the teeth with guns, grit, and guitars, sleeps seven to a room and dreams big dreams. Primi anni
Durante la primavera del 1969, a Jacksonville, Rickey Medlocke (batteria, voce) e Greg T. Walker (basso) incontrano il newyorkese Charlie Hargrett (chitarra) e danno vita al gruppo Fresh Garbage band con Ron Sciabarasi alle tastiere. Il successo
Nel 1979, dopo una pausa di tre anni - durante la quale il gruppo si era sciolto per un breve periodo, anche a causa del mancato successo dei primi due album - esce il terzo album, Strikes, che si rivela un successo commerciale grazie anche ad un indurimento del suono, che consente ai Blackfoot di raggiungere anche il pubblico metal, e ad hit efficaci quali "Highway song" e soprattutto "Train, Train", alla cui stesura collabora "Shorty" Medlocke, nonno di Rickey .
