Gregg Matthew Berhalter (/ ˈ b ɜːr ˌ h ɔː l t ər /, BUR-hawl-tər; born August 1, 1973) is an American soccer coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the United States men's national soccer team. He is the first person in United States history to participate in the FIFA World Cup as both a player and head coach.
