Gunilla Bielke; Swedish: Gunilla Johansdotter Bielke af Åkerö (25 June 1568 – 19 July 1597) was Queen of Sweden as the second wife of King John III. Queen Gunilla is acknowledged to have acted as the political adviser to John III and to have influenced his religious policies in favour of Protestantism.

Gunilla Bielke, född 25 juni 1568, död 25 juni 1597, var Sveriges drottning mellan 1585 och 1592 genom sitt giftermål med Johan III. Hon agerade som Johans rådgivare och hade genom honom ett omvittnat inflytande över Sveriges politik.

Gunilla Bielke. Share. Queen Gunilla. Gunilla was the daughter of state councillor Johan Axelsson Bielke and Margareta Posse. She was staying at the court when Katarina Jagellonica died. After a year of mourning Johan III, decided to marry Gunilla. The couple had one child, Johan.

A strict protestant, she made her husband’s interest in Catholicism fade away, which in turn affected his political views.

18 ott 2004 · Biografi. Gunilla Johansdotter Bielke föddes den 25 juni 1568 som dotter till riksrådet och ståthållaren över Östergötland Johan Axelsson (Bielke) och Margareta Axelsdotter Posse (20). Efter att Johan III:s hustru Katarina Jagellonica hade avlidit 1583, började kungens se sig om efter en ny hustru. Valet föll på Gunilla som var endast sexton år.
