Gunilla Bielke; Swedish: Gunilla Johansdotter Bielke af Åkerö (25 June 1568 – 19 July 1597) was Queen of Sweden as the second wife of King John III. Queen Gunilla is acknowledged to have acted as the political adviser to John III and to have influenced his religious policies in favor of Protestantism.

Gunilla Bielke, född 25 juni 1568, död 25 juni 1597, var Sveriges drottning mellan 1585 och 1592 genom sitt giftermål med Johan III. Hon agerade som Johans rådgivare och hade genom honom ett omvittnat inflytande över Sveriges politik.

9 ago 2018 · Gunilla Bielke was born Gunilla Johansdotter Bielke of Åkerö on 25 June 1568. The daughter of a former governor, Gunilla was orphaned at an early age and raised at the royal court. She spent her days playing with the King of Sweden’s daughter and would eventually become maid-of-honor to Queen Catherine Jagiellon.

Born on June 25, 1568, in Liljesta, Östergötland, Sweden, she was the eldest of the three daughters and the third of the eight children of Johan Axelsson Bielke (? – 1576) and Margareta Axelsdotter Posse (1548 – 1575). The Bielke family was an aristocratic Swedish family.
