Giornalista e uomo politico (Londra 1868 - Bermude 1940). Fondò con il fratello lord Northcliffe il Daily Mail (1896) e il Daily Mirror (1903), e da solo il Sunday Pictorial (1915). Per l'attività pubblicistica svolta durante la prima guerra mondiale fu creato visconte (1919).
