Rudy Vallée on The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour in 1933. He always signed on saying, "Heigh-ho, everybody!" In 1929, Vallée began hosting The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour, a popular radio show with guests such as Fay Wray and Richard Cromwell in dramatic skits.

Both the megaphone and the greeting "Heigh-ho, everybody!" became Vallée's trademarks even though microphones soon relieved him of the need to use a megaphone. The Connecticut Yankees became so popular that radio station WABC broadcasted them from the club.

28 dic 2012 · In 1928, after landing a regular gig at New York’s exclusive Heigh-Ho Club – which inspired his signature catch phrase, “Heigh-ho, everybody!”– Vallée signed with Columbia Records. Two of his first recordings reached the charts immediately, “Marie” (#42) and “Weary River” (#46).
