Übersicht. Der evangelische Theologe Helmut Gollwitzer gilt als Hauptvertreter des sog. Linksbarthianismus, einer durch den schweizerischen Theologen Karl Barth (1886–1968) geprägten theologischen Richtung, in der die biblische Botschaft als revolutionärer Aufruf zur Veränderung der Gesellschaft verstanden wurde.
